We are so Cookin’ with Marsala!

Just last week, I made a prediction here in the office that Pantone’s color of the year would be in the red family. We’ve been seeing red coming on strong in fashion and other products in the market.

Though I don’t drink Marsala, I do use it in cooking often! We’ve been mixing this shade with other red varietals including deep burgundy and loving the outcome. Marsala also looks gorgeous with shades of spicy orange, golds, and even pops of teal.

We introduced a few designs with accents of red this past season. For our Spring 2015, we developed more red designs including our fresh Exotica Collection that we launched recently at the International Home Furnishing Market in High Point, North Carolina. Our Oasis rug from this collection features a smoky red, similar in tone to Marsala, paired with a deep burgundy and gold accents on a driftwood ground. Red pillows and other accents in velvets, linens and cottons coordinate beautifully with this palette.
